Efficient because it can automatically supply water and fertiliser according to the exact needs of a plant without using any moisture sensor.  

Environmental friendly because it does not waste any water or fertiliser into the ground, thus preventing pollution to the underground water.

What is the secret behind AutoPot Systems? 

The answer lies on the SmartValve (photo) which is the heart of the system.  It is this simple 3-piece plastic that controls the water and fertiliser supply to the plant.  Best of all, the SmartValve does not require any battery or electricity for it to work.

When the SmartValve is fitted in a tray or pot and connected to water supply, the bottom float (which is resting) will allow water through the inlet hole (orange circle).

As the water level goes up, the bottom float rises as well and this action is slowly closing the inlet hole.

Once the water level reaches 1 inch (25mm), the inlet hole is completely closed (orange circle) thus stopping water from coming through.

As the plant begins to feed, the water level will start to drop but the inlet hole remains closed.

Only when the water is fully consumed, the bottom float will fall back to its original position and as a result, the inlet hole is opened to allow water through again.
